The greatest advancements of mankind have been made at times when the whole world’s perception was shifted because of the insight of a single individual. It is the new way of seeing and understanding reality that helps us grow from where we are to where we are capable of being. But to change collective perception is not always an easy task. It is one of the most difficult things to continue believing in something when everyone else believes the opposite. Independence of vision is the challenge of all leaders.

Collective consciousness acts as a gravity that pulls all individual consciousness unto itself. The greatest force that keeps us from going anywhere is inertia. When there is change, there is risk of things changing for the worse. Since it is the nature of consciousness to preserve itself, change tends to be discouraged. Change is based on intention. For change to happen, there must be an act of the will, which is the ruling faculty of consciousness, to create change. Leaders must be willful to cause changes.

People tend to stick to the status quo, because that’s where they have certainty and control. To move beyond the current accepted reality is to move into the realm of the uncertainty. What is uncertain cannot be controlled. Consciousness needs control in order to ensure its own survival. Most people are afraid to give up control temporarily in order to gain greater control later because they are ignorant of their true power. That is why great spirits have often encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

The masses do not realize that confusion is a doorway to a new understanding. Chaos is only a temporary state of disorder so that consciousness can rearrange itself into a higher order of existence. Without that interference of the way things are, the same patterns will repeat themselves over and over without any progress being made. Every time we start to doubt and question our whole perspective of reality, it is an opportunity for us to undergo a paradigm shift that can literally turn around our entire life.

Our true power as consciousness is infinite, eternal and unchanging. That means consciousness originally existed in a state that is all knowing, perfect and complete. There is no need for change because all changes are already contained within it. It has complete certainty because all uncertainty have already been explored within it. The purpose of experiencing uncertainty and change is for us to rediscover and evolve back into our original state as infinite, eternal and omniscient pure consciousness.

Death or disintegration of consciousness is an illusion because there is an infinite intelligence that governs the processes of all things in the universe. The disintegration of one thing is only the rearrangement of information in time and space. Death and disintegration of something is not the end, but they are part of the cycle in continuing life and reintegration into something different. People who understand the nature of reality do not fear death and disintegration. They are able to embrace change and evolution.

Higher consciousness is always in control. We are individuated aspects of higher consciousness. When we explore the realm of the unknown or the unproven, we are letting go of our individual control of reality. But we never really lose control because we are following the leading of our higher consciousness. It is the invisible aspect of ourselves that is leading us in the discovery of the invisible world. It is the spirit within us that teaches us the spiritual universe by comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Every discovery that has been made by humankind has been inspired by higher consciousness in divine timing and divine order. Higher consciousness chooses and creates an individual or a group of individuals for that idea to be expressed through. That person or group of people might become aware of it first before everyone else. All ideas already exist within the collective unconscious. Those that tap into it gain understanding before their time and therefore may feel that no one else sees what they do.

Leaders are given visions that others do not see, so that they can lead the rest into seeing. Therefore when you find yourself in a situation where you wonder if you are the only one who sees what you see, it means that the universe has chosen you to be its messenger. Knowledge is power and with power comes responsibility. When you know something that the world does not know, it is your responsibility to impart your knowledge for the advancement of mankind. Your growth is your area of contribution.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Gaining the power of sight may be a scary thing because all of a sudden, others may not be able to understand what you are trying to communicate to them. You may feel more and more disconnected and distant from your unseeing and unconscious friends. But you will be more in control of your life and reality as a king of your kingdom than the rest of them. Conscious dissonance is the price you have to pay to rise above the deep sleeping masses.

Rising to the top is a challenge that many fail as they are afraid of loneliness. Chickens gather together but Eagles fly solo. Not everyone wants to fly that high because they do not wish to leave others behind. It gets lonely at the top, but that’s the only place where you see what the masses cannot see. You get to see more than everyone else. If you want to get ahead in life, you have to get ahead of others. You would bring them with you if they wish to follow but if they don’t, you will hold true to your vision.[/hidepost]
