There is no virtue in being poor, because poverty is not our divine expression as godlike beings. We are all meant to experience abundance and to live it fully in this world. All problems are problems of lack. For if there was no lack, there would be no problems at all. Prosperity is not just having plenty of money, but it is about having plenty of everything. True prosperity is when one has all the money, the happiness, the freedom and love that one’s soul truly desires in the moment. Manifesting God is prosperity.

One can only attain the fullness of God to the extent that one thinks upon godly things. It is godly to think about prosperity, abundance and having plenty. Thinking in any other way contrary to this would be ungodly. Your every thought is an intention, and your every intention is a prayer. You have not because you ask not. To ask what you wish is to think about what you wish. Thought is man’s link with the universal mind. All has been given to you, and you may receive to the extent that you think prosperity.

Concentrate and think upon things that you want, not on things which you ought not to have. Think of abundance, of opulence, of plenty, of position, harmony and growth, and if you do not see them manifested today, they will be realized tomorrow. If you must pass through pathways of life where you do not outwardly see abundance, know that you have it within, and that in time it will manifest itself. The treasures that you lay up in heaven through prosperous thinking will have to manifest on earth in due time.

The secret of prosperity lies in so vividly imaging it in your own mind that you literally exude prosperity. You feel prosperous, you look prosperous, and the result is that before long you are prosperous. Rather than looking at conditions around you, especially when they are not yet as prosperous as you want them to be, choose to look at conditions that you create with your imagination. Project images of wealth into your external world as you walk around in it. See and feel yourself as one living the high life.

Dress yourself in richer looking clothes, and imagine yourself having many more of those at home. When take public transport to a place, imagine yourself having arrived there by car. Imagine yourself having a car that you could drive as well. Not any car but the car of your dreams. Imagine yourself being able to dine in any fine places of your choice. Imagine yourself being able to take a trip to any exotic place in the world. Imagine being able to travel by first class, and enjoying the best of everything in life.

Keep a good amount of cash in your wallet. As you walk around in shopping malls, imagine yourself spending the cash on this item or that item. As you look at various products and services, think to yourself “I could have that. I could have that. I have the ability to purchase that…” And, because you really do have the means to do just that, because you are not pretending something that is not, there is no hindering doubt or disbelief obstructing your financial flow. You are exercising prosperity mentality.

This is a simple but powerful process, and it will change your financial point of attraction. You do not actually have to spend the money, but all you have to do is to spend it imaginarily. If you spend a hundred dollars imaginarily a thousand times, by the end of the day you would have spent a total of a hundred thousand. Your subconscious mind doesn’t care whether an event was experienced in reality or in the imagination. It would be impressed with the idea that you really have what it takes to live affluently.

Everything you experience in your external world is a projection from your heart or subconscious mind. When your subconscious mind is impressed with the idea of such prosperity, it would form a magnetic field of energy that attracts it in your outer reality. Seemingly magical things will begin to occur as soon as you achieve that wonderful feeling of financial abundance. The money you are currently earning will seem to go further. Unexpected amounts of money in various increments will begin to come along.

It is important not to joke about poverty. A woman who had a great deal of money joked continually about “getting ready for the poor-house.” In a few years she was almost destitute, having impressed the subconscious mind with a picture of lack and limitation. Another wealthy woman had often tired of the management of her home, and had said repeatedly, “I’m sick and tired of things. I wish I lived in a trunk.” Soon she was saying, “Today I am living in that trunk.” She had spoken herself into a trunk.

By your words you shall be justified and by your words you shall be condemned. Control your tongue and you control your prosperity. You do not have to actually be abundant in order to attract abundance, but you do have to feel abundant. Any feeling of lack of abundance causes a resistance that does not allow abundance. When you are cheated or lose money in some way, think of it as an opportunity to assert prosperity consciousness. If you let go of loss, it’ll be restored 7-fold as you remain in flow.

Money is only an idea that everyone use to deal with everyone else. The thing that counts is not the amount of your balance at the bank, but what others think of you, the image you have created in your own and in others minds. People want to work with people who are successful and prosperous. When you create the image of prosperity in your own minds and others, doors will open and opportunities will flock your way. Imagine and feel abundance instead of the lack of it and you will keep attracting more.[/hidepost]
