Desire is the creative force of the universe. Desire is a force that sets things in motion to bring about its own fulfillment. Only those who become “money conscious” ever accumulate great riches. “Money consciousness” means that the mind has become so thoroughly saturated with the desire for money, that one can see one’s self already in possession of it. Great riches are different from financial sufficiency. It is about creating much more rather than simply having enough. Therefore you need strong desire.

Wisdom and “cleverness” alone will not attract and retain money except in a few very rare instances, where the law of averages favors the attraction of money through these sources. The law of attracting money does not depend upon the law of averages. Moreover, the law plays no favorites. It will work for one person as effectively as it will for another. Where failure is experienced, it is the individual, not the method which has failed. If you try and fail, make another effort and still another until you succeed.

If you truly desire money so keenly that your desire is an obsession, you will have no difficulty in convincing yourself that you will acquire it. The object is to want money, and to become so determined to have it that you convince yourself you will have it. Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. The word receive in the Greek is “lambano” which means to claim, procure, for one’s self, of that which when taken is not let go. To be so determined to have it.

Your ability to use the principle of auto-suggestion will depend, very largely, upon your capacity to concentrate upon a given desire until that desire becomes a burning obsession. The main rule to remember is that you get what you concentrate upon. Auto means Self, and Suggestion means the process of inducing and Idea. All things are created by Ideas from the Self. What you focus your mind upon it creates. Therefore if you want to create great riches you must concentrate upon it into an obsession.

Remember, therefore, when reading aloud the statement of your desire that the mere reading of the words is of no consequence unless you mix emotion, or feeling with your words. If you repeat a million times the famous Emil Coue formula, “Day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better,” without mixing emotion and faith with your words, you’ll experience no desirable results. Your subconscious mind recognizes, and acts upon only thoughts which have been well-mixed with emotion, or feeling.

This is a fact of such importance because the lack of understanding of this is the main reason the majority of people who try to apply the principle of auto-suggestion get no desirable results. Plain, unemotional words do not influence the subconscious mind. You will get no appreciable results until you learn to reach your subconscious mind with thoughts, or spoken words which have been well emotionalized with belief. To believe is to be intentionally convicted deep in your heart about something as true.

Do not become discouraged if you cannot control and direct your emotions the first time you try to do so. Remember, there’s no such possibility as something for nothing. Ability to reach, and influence your subconscious mind has its price, and you must pay that price. You cannot cheat, even if you desire to do so. The price of ability to influence your subconscious mind is everlasting persistence in applying the principles of creation. You must concentrate on your desire and once taken, not to let go of it.

You cannot develop the desired ability for a lower price. You and you alone, must decide whether or not the reward for which you are striving (the “money consciousness”), is worth the price you must pay for it in effort. Even Jesus himself said that whatever things you desire, you must “lambano” it and then you will have it. The word “have” is to make come to pass or manifest. This price is not the curse but it is the way of creation. It is the workings of faith and consciousness. This is how gods and God create.

Singlemindedness is all powerful. When the people gathered together to create the tower of Babel to reach the heavens, they were of one mind. God said that because of that, nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. So the Lord confounded their language so that they would not understand each other’s speech. When you become single minded, nothing will be restrained from you. The only way to stop you is to divide your mind. So use this power of a single mind for great riches.

The difference of manifestation of power among men lies in concentration. All power is available to all beings, but different beings channel the power in varying degrees. It is like the Sun shining its light everywhere, but a magnifying glass focusing the rays into a single point and burning a leaf. To concentrate is to hold your mind upon a thing for a certain amount of time. It’s to keep your mind in a certain state of activity. This is how unwavering faith works. Have the god kind of faith, faith without changing mind.

Do not divide your focus. Let one thing be your sole priority and everything else be secondary. If you desire to have great riches, let wealth be the primary thing you wish to manifest above all else. This is not to say that you cannot have other things. It’s just that wealth becomes that which you give your primary focus to for manifestation. God is still the primary thing you seek. But wealth is a thing you manifest. You seek the higher and you master the lower. The crown of the extremely wise is their great riches.[/hidepost]
